Belgrade’s first foam festival will be a gather point for some of the most important deejays worldwide. It will be held at Belgrade Arena on three stages. According to their web site, the Main Stage will host Sandy Rivera, David Morales, Benny Benassi, Marko Nastić and Marko Milosavljević; the Sky flash stage is reserved for: Tom Pooks, Tsuyoshi Suzuki, Ian F, Andrew Technique, F.Sonik, Tomy DeClerque; while the SH stage will be host to a regional deejays competition.  The seventh Belgrade Beer Fest is about to move both the citizens of Belgrade and the visitors from August 12. to 16. 5 days of madness and lots and lots of beer will be accompanied by predominantly rock music, though as previous years, there will also be something for people that like other genres. The Beer Fest is the most massive event in Serbia, surpassing the most famous Exit (Novi Sad) and Gucha (Zlatibor) with over half a million visitors. This year it is expected to break the record with more than 600.000 party goers.
Since last year, the fest has been moved from it’s original location below the Kalemegdan fortress, to a spacier location, the Ušće (Ushche) park across the Sava River, below the Ušće tower. Read the rest of this entry »

 Thousands of participants are already here at Belgrade, preparing for the 25th summer Universiade (Student Olympics), the most numerous sports happening after the Olympic games. There will be competitions in 503 categories of 15 sports, more than 1400 medals will be awarded, and more than 10000 competitors will participate. They will be aided during their stay by more than 16000 voluntaries, speaking more than 80 languages. The competitions will be held all across the city, and a few basketball games will be held in Vršac, a city about an hour of driving away from Belgrade. The participants are accommodated at Belville, aka. the University village, at the New Belgrade district, near the arena. Read the rest of this entry »

Today we’ve opened our photo gallery to guests visiting our site that do not wish to sign up to our club (including the gallery). Currently there are 61 items in the gallery, most of them photos of Belgrade. Soon we’ll add several more pictures and videos.
